I have the Bluray version of this which is fine. But what is not fine is the annoying and intolerable Russian dubbing, which has ruined many videos. So I’m looking for a copy in English, or with English subs.
Yikes. Upscaling only works when the resolution is only a single tier lower. I don't know how much this was upscaled, but there's a lot of uncanny stuff going on with the faces
Yes, this is true. Because humans focus on faces, it is more noticeable, but its only noticeable when faces get to a certain size and smaller. I am sure this happens in other small detailed areas of a video (furniture, objects, patterned carpets, wallpaper), but I don't know about upscaling so I can't comment as to the reason. Mr LE's uploads are normally fab.
